How does solar window film work?
Let's get technical:  Metalized films, solar tint, block up to 88% of the solar energy from entering your home or office; thus reducing the load on your A/C system and saving energy.  A solar film with a Shading Coefficient of .18, such as a Dual Reflective 5%, will conserve up to 12.5 kWh of energy per year per square foot (SF) in Houston.  A consumer that pays $.16 per kWh will save an estimated $2.00 per year per SF with an efficient HVAC system and save even more with a less efficient HVAC system.

So what does that mean to you?
Home and offices with 3,000 square feet of windows with reflective film can save as much as $6,000 per year.  Solar window film can reduce the peak demand on electrical utilities because solar tint conserves energy between the peak energy demand period from 10 AM to 4 PM.  Moreover, the lower the overall energy consumption resulting from solar window film decreases the demand for new CO2 producing power facilities, in turn resulting in decreased emissions and a smaller overall carbon footprint.

Reflective tint is the most effective way to conserve energy because it's cost effective, has a quick payback period and has immediate results in conserving energy:  Once installed, solar tint starts saving you money.  Solar Control Window Film is a very efficient way to conserve energy, save you money and maintain a comfortable temperature for your home and office.
